Wolfpack Girls Basketball Players at the College Level
Cassidy Hashley (2010-2014) - Carroll College Fighting Saints
Cassidy left the Wolfpack program as the most prolific player in program history ending her career as the individual leader in games played (90) and games started (68). She also ended her career as the statistical leader in field goal attempts (965), field goals made (487), points scored (1,242), average points per game (13.8), free throws attempted (384), free throws made (256), steals (150), blocks (39), offensive rebounds (339), defensive rebounds (578) and total rebounds (917). Cassidy helped lead the Wolfpack girls to the state tournament for the first time in program history her sophomore year (2011-12), and led them back to the state tournament the next two years leading them to their first ever state tournament win her senior year as they beat the Great Falls Bison 47-46. Cassidy dominated that game with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Cassidy earned 2nd team all-conference her freshman and sophomore seasons and earned 1st team all-state her junior and senior seasons. She was also named to the all-tournament team both of those seasons. Cassidy was selected to play in the prestigious Montana vs Wyoming all-star game after her senior season. She was also a finalist for the Montana Gatorade Player of the Year her senior season in which she finished with a statistical line of 16.1 points per game, 10.7 rebounds per game and 2 steals per game. Hailee Bennett (2012-2016) - Seattle Pacific University Falcons
Hailee leaves the Wolfpack program and finishes her incredible career as the statistical leader in 10 of 20 categories. In the 10 categories she is not the leader, she is either 2nd or somewhere in the top 10. She ends up the leader in most games played (93), most games started (91) and most minutes played (2,328). She leads in free throw shooting with most free throws made (264) and an incredible career percentage from the line of 78.3%. Hailee sits at the top of all three long range shooting categories as well with most 3 pointers attempted (289), made (102) and the top percentage made (35.3%). As a scorer, she increased her average points per game every year from her freshman season (6.6), to sophomore (11.7), junior (13.4), and senior season (15.3), which ends up the 2nd best season points per game average in school history. She becomes only the 2nd Wolfpack player to surpass the 1,000 point barrier and joins an elite group of Montana players to do so scoring 1,088 career points (2nd best) and carrying a career average of 11.7 points per game, (3rd best). She proved she could play both ends of the floor and shine in all aspects of the game by becoming the all-time steals leader in program history with 186. As a point guard, she also rebounded the ball ferociously and ends up 3rd all time snaring 302 career rebounds. It was as an unselfish passer, play maker and distributor that Hailee shined most brightly however. She ends up the career leader in assists with an amazing 374 over her career, an average of 4 assists every game she played. As a leader, she was selected a team captain her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and led her team to an overall record of 65-28 (63% win percentage) and 3 state tournament appearances, the best finish being a 3rd place trophy her junior season where she was named to the all-tournament team. Hailee earned 2nd team all-conference as a freshman and became the first player in Wolfpack history to earn 1st team all-state three times as a sophomore, junior and senior. She became the 2nd Wolfpack player selected to play in the prestigious Montana vs Wyoming all-star game after her senior year. Hailee was also a finalist for the Montana Gatorade Player of the Year her senior year in which she finished with a statistical line of 15.3 points per game, 4 assists per game, 4 rebounds per game and 2.4 steals per game. Taylor Salonen (2012-2016) - Carroll College Fighting Saints
Taylor proved to be one of the most versatile players in Wolfpack girls basketball history as she could play any of the five positions on the court and was used to fill all five at various times throughout her career logging the 3rd most minutes of playing time over four seasons with 1,628. She played in 74 total games, starting 48. She improved greatly as a shooter and ended up making 38 three point baskets (4th best) out of 123 attempts (4th best) for a 30.9% shooting percentage (6th best). Her highlight shooting game was her junior season when she lead the Wolfpack to a 3rd place finish at state never missing a shot she took in the game making 4 of 4 field goals, (3 of 3 three point field goals and 3 of 3 free throws), scoring 14 points to lead the way to the trophy. She was also a play maker on offense and finishes 2nd in career assists with 134. It was on the defensive end of the court where Taylor shined most brightly however, and she always earned the assignment of guarding the opponent's best offensive player. Taylor ends up 3rd all time with 35 blocked shots and 6th all time with 100 steals. She became a solid rebounder and finishes 4th all time with 278 total rebounds for her career. Taylor ended up in the top 10 in 14 statistical categories. She was a leader both on and off the court and was named a team captain her senior season.
